At The Movies

Nanny McPhee
A new nanny (Emma Thompson) enters the household of the recently widowed Mr. Brown (Colin Firth) and attempts to tame his seven ill-behaved children. The children have managed to
drive away 17 previous nannies and are certain that they will have no trouble with this one. But as Nanny McPhee takes control, they begin to notice that their vile behavior now leads swiftly and magically to rather startling consequences. Her influence also extends to the family's deeper problems, including Mr. Brown's attempts to find a new wife, a domineering Aunt Adelaide (Angela Lansbury) that intends to take one of the children away, and the sad and secret longings of their maid, Evangeline. As the children's behavior begins to change, Nanny McPhee's arresting face and frame appear to change as well, creating even more questions about this mysterious stranger whom the children and their father have come to
love. Great family fare.

Flightplan

In the middle of the trans-Atlantic trip, Kyle Pratt's (Jodie Foster) young daughter turns up missing without a trace. Adding to the growing mystery is the fact that the name of Kyle's daughter doesn't even appear on the flight manifest and neither of the flight attendants can remember seeing the child on the plane. Who on board can be trusted, and just how far will Kyle have to go to get to the bottom of the harrowing mystery? Pushed to the
edge and fighting for her sanity, Kyle finds herself willing to go to unimaginable lengths to save her daughter. A well-planned suspense thriller.
