Confessions of a Shopaholic
Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla Fisher) is a sweet and charming New York City girl who has a tiny, little problem that is rapidly turning into a big problem: she's hopelessly addicted to shopping and drowning in a sea of debt. While Rebecca has dreams of working for a top fashion magazine, she can't quite get her foot in the door, until she snags a job as an advice columnist for a new financial magazine published by the same company. Overnight, her column becomes hugely popular, turning her into an overnight celebrity, but when her compulsive shopping and growing debt issues threaten to destroy her love life and derail her career, she struggles to keep it all from spiraling out of control, and is ultimately forced to reevaluate what's really important in life.

On DVD

W.
Oliver Stone's biographical take on the life of George W. Bush (Josh Brolin), one of the most controversial, secretive, cynical, and ruthless president in USA history, chronicling from 1967 to his wild and carefree days in college, to his military service, to his governorship of Texas and oil businesses, leading to his 2000 candidacy for president, his first turbulent four years to his 2004 re-election campaign.

The Buzz..

NBC and motivational guru Tony Robbins have signed a deal for a series in which Robbins will try to help people turn their lives around. The network has picked up eight episodes of the currently untitled series. Robbins, who's famous for his motivational speeches and series of self help tools ranging from books to nutritional supplements, will appear on camera with participants and also be an executive producer.

Showtime has ordered up a second season of its hit drama United States of Tara. The series, executive produced by Steven Spielberg and created by Diablo Cody, stars Toni Collette as Tara Gregson, a housewife and mother who is struggling with dissociative identity disorder.

The stream of speculation about who's staying and who's leaving Grey's Anatomy has been so constant and so contradictory that it's hard to keep track of what's what. Grey's actor James Pickens Jr. tells Us Weekly that Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight, who have been the focus of most of that speculation, will both be leaving the show at season's end.

Tyra Banks and her gang are catwalking to The CW a week late. Cycle 12 of the network's America's Next Top Model will premiere on Wednesday, March 4, a week later than previously planned. This has the added benefit of expanding the one hour telecast to a two hour event.

Maybe this will explain why Bret Michaels hasn't been able to find the girl of his dreams on the reality show Rock of Love. He's got a major crush on Jennifer Aniston. The Poison singer says, "There is no doubt that I find Jennifer to be very hot, smart, funny, down to earth and a great actress... Most importantly, she seems like someone you could take home to meet Mom, yet behind closed tour bus doors, she could rock your world."

America's Got Talent will have a new host this summer, someone a whole lot younger than the two men who've previously filled the job. Nick Cannon will take over as emcee of NBC's top performing summer series later this year. The 28 year old "entertainer/producer and comedian," as NBC describes him, will take over for 65 year old Jerry Springer, who in turn assumed the role from Regis Philbin. Judges Sharon Osbourne, David Hasselhoff and Piers Morgan will remain with the show.

Steven Spielberg's DreamWorks has signed a distribution pact with Disney, according to Variety. Starting in 2010, DreamWorks' Touchstone titles will be distributed and marketed by the House of Mouse. That should boost Disney's annual slate to around 20 films. The first offering for collaboration hasn't yet been decided.

The wait is almost over for a new Green Day album. According to published reports, the trio will release 21st Century Breakdown sometime in May. The album will contain 16 songs spread over three different sections. This will be the first Green Day disc since 2004's mega successful American Idiot.

Aaron Eckhart and Richard Jenkins are peeking into Hunter S. Thompson's Rum Diary. Jenkins has signed on to the film, and Eckhart is considering a role as the third point in the movie's love triangle, according to The Hollywood Reporter Already signed on for the film are Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, who would play Eckhart's colleague and girlfriend, respectively, if he takes the role.

Paul Stanley recently discussed KISS' next album. He says the band are going old school this time around, recording it in analog rather than digital. The band are also writing the material themselves. Paul calls it "a Kiss album in the most true and classic sense." For those of you who have lost track, this will be the band's 42nd album.

Send in the clones. Cartoon Network has announced that it has picked up a second season of the CG animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. "We're trying to push the envelope even further in the second season," says creator George Lucas. "In the features, I focused on telling the story of the Skywalker family. With 'The Clone Wars' I'm exploring far beyond that and we barely scratched the surface in the first season. It's exciting to be able to take people to all these new places in the Star Wars galaxy."

Chris Brown's arrest for an alleged assault on a woman whom reports have identified as singer Rihanna has caused the Wrigley gum company to pull his ads for Doublemint gum.

Comics author Brian Michael Bendis said at last week's New York Comic Con that he's finished a pilot script based on his and Michael Avon Oeming's series Powers. The show would be FX's first foray into the superhero genre. Powers centers on Christian Walker, a one time superhero who has lost his abilities. He now works as a homicide detective specializing in cases involving other "powers." He partners with another detective named Deena Pilgrim, who eventually develops powers of her own.

Kevin Lima has been brought to direct a big screen adaptation of the Hasbro board game Candy Land for Universal Pictures. Hasbro has turned other franchise properties, such as Transformers and the forthcoming G.I. Joe film, into film properties already.

Variety reports that Warner Bros. is in talks with Martin Campbell (Casino Royale) to direct the Green Lantern project that has been on the backburner for some time. There have been several Green Lanterns in the DC Comic Series over the years but in each incarnation of the character, a human possessed a powerful green ring that gave him great powers.

A $510 million class action suit was filed alleging Ticketmaster and TicketsNow.com are leading a "conspiracy" that holds event tickets back from the public and "diverted a large number of tickets for resale….at a higher price." The Globe and Mail reports Henryk Krajewski is the plaintiff who tried to buy a two tickets to a Smashing Pumpkins concert last fall for $133 from Ticketmaster. When they were sold out, he was directed through a link to TicketsNow, where he had to pay $533.65, plus shipping, for the tickets.
