Avatar: The Way Of Water

Immigrants on a steamship travelling from London to New
York get caught up in a mysterious riddle after finding
a second vessel adrift on the open sea. 1899 is a
multilingual German epic period mystery science fiction
television series created by Jantje Friese
and Baran bo Odar. It premiered on
Netflix on 17 November 2022. It has received mostly
positive critical reviews, with praise for its casting,
directing, cinematography, and acting, though some
criticized its pacing as slow. The creators have ideas
for two more seasons.

Set in The Irish Midlands in 1862, the story follows a
young girl who stops eating but remains miraculously
alive and well. English nurse Lib Wright is brought to a
tiny village to observe eleven-year old Anna O'Donnell.
Tourists and pilgrims mass to witness the girl who is
said to have survived without food for months.
Wonder‑fully weird and incredibly poignant, this movie
is well written, adeptly shot, and superbly acted.
Frances Pugh puts in an amazing performance.

After announcing he was back as the Man of Steel following
a cameo in Black Adam, Henry Cavill’s return as
Superman has been cancelled. New DC Studios co-head James
Gunn announced Wednesday night on Twitter that he is writing a new
film featuring the caped hero that will not feature Cavill.
Scarlett Johansson feels she was “groomed” to become a
“bombshell-type of actor” during her younger years. The 38 year old actress
feared becoming pigeonholed, and is now thankful that she managed to take
control of her own career. “I kind of became like an ingenue, sort of, and I
just think that’s part of, young girls like that are really objectified, and
that’s just a fact,” she told the Table for Two podcast.
Stephen 'tWitch' Boss, DJ and producer on 'Ellen', has died
at age 40. The DJ and executive producer, who worked on The Ellen
DeGeneres Show for nine years having got his big break on So
You Think You Can Dance in 2008, is reported
to have died by suicide.
Prince Harry is reportedly in talks to give another tell all
interview with CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King. Despite
setting straight their version of events on their Netflix docuseries
Harry and Meghan and his and wife Meghan, Duchess of
Sussex’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey last year,
the 38 year old royal is said to have no plans to stop speaking out about his
and his wife’s experiences in the Royal Family.
Wednesday continues posting huge numbers after three weeks on Netflix,
beating out even the highly anticipated Harry & Meghan series on
the streamer’s latest viewership rankings.
Olivia Wilde is still reeling from her and Harry Styles‘
breakup last month after almost two years of dating. As for Styles, not so much.
The Don’t Worry Darling director/actress “is still pretty
hurt by her breakup with Harry. Olivia and Harry had a lot of love for each
other and had a great time together, so it’s been an adjustment for her.”
HBO announced that Mindy Kaling’s raunchy series The Sex
Lives of College Girls will be returning for a third season.
Romance may have bloomed on the set of The White Lotus. Bustle
reports Meghann Fahy, who played Daphne on season 2 of the HBO
series, has been romantically linked with Leo Woodall, who
played Quentin’s (Tom Hollander) British “nephew” Jack.
Margot Robbie is promising a dreamlike experience with Barbie.
The film, which is based on the global Mattel toy franchise, is already
drawing attention for its bright bubblegum pink looks, but Robbie says that’s
not all it has in store.
The Dune prequel series at HBO Max has cast both Josh
Heuston and Edward Davis in recurring roles. Currently
titled Dune: The Sisterhood, the series is set 10,000 years before
the events of Dune and is based on the novel Sisterhood of Dune by Brian
Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. It hails from Legendary
Television, with Legendary producing the Dune film reboot.
