Mean Girls
Cady Heron is a hit with the Plastics, an A-list girl clique at her new school.
But everything changes when she makes the mistake of falling for Aaron Samuels,
the ex-boyfriend of alpha Plastic Regina George. From the comedic mind of
Tina Fey comes a new twist on the modern classic, Mean Girls. New
student Cady Heron (Angourie Rice) is welcomed into the top of the
social food chain by the elite group of popular girls called "The Plastics,"
ruled by the conniving queen bee Regina George (Reneé Rapp) and
her minions Gretchen (Bebe Wood) and Karen (Avantika).
However, when Cady makes the major misstep of falling for Regina's ex-boyfriend
Aaron Samuels (Christopher Briney), she finds herself prey in
Regina's crosshairs. As Cady sets to take down the group's apex predator with
the help of her outcast friends Janis (Auli'i Cravalho) and Damian
(Jaquel Spivey), she must learn how to stay true to herself while
navigating the most cutthroat jungle of all: high school.

The Buzz...
Avoiding commercials on the Crave streaming service is about to get a
little costlier. Bell Media has told Crave subscribers who use its
“premium ad-free” package that they’ll now have to pay $22 per month, an
increase of $2.01. The change affects only the most expensive subscription tier
that gives viewers commercial free access to a library of on-demand programming,
as well as feeds of Crave’s live TV channels.
Wizards of Waverly Place is getting a sequel as Disney
Channel has ordered a pilot for a follow-up series executive produced by
Selena Gomez and her onscreen sibling David Henrie.
According to Deadline, Gomez will guest star in the pilot as her

Kristen Stewart is being honored with the visionary award at the
2024 Sundance Film Festival opening night gala, a prize that is a

not to always have her own sense of vision.

Hours after it was announced that Pauly Shore would play him in an
upcoming biopic, fitness guru Richard Simmons revealed that he did
not give his blessing for the film to be made. “Hi Everybody! You may have heard
they may be doing a movie about me with Pauly Shore. I have never given my
permission for this movie. So don’t believe everything you read,” Simmons wrote
on Facebook.

Cat on Sunday, as well as a No Doubt reunion.

receive a career achievement award at the upcoming Toronto Black
Film Festival.
