Two Mormon missionaries, Paxton and Barnes, are lured into the home of polite and knowledgeable Mr. Reed (Hugh Grant). He is eager to discuss their convictions and hear the good news. Too eager. When the theology discussion takes a dark turn, the sisters are equally enthusiastic about leaving. If they can. Heretic is an intense, chilling, and frighteningly sincere discussion about the horror of ideas. It is thrilling to see where each topic and turn leads the characters.

Don't Move (Netflix)
Iris (Kelsey Asbille) is a young woman mourning the death of her young son. Waking up early and without telling her husband, Iris makes her way to her son's memorial in the park intent on jumping off the same cliff only to be stopped by an engagement with a seemingly well intentioned stranger named Richard (Finn Wittrock) who tells her his own experience of loss. However Richard reveals himself to be a serial killer and kidnaps Iris knocking her unconscious. Thanks to a Swiss Army knife Iris manages to make Richard crash the car and escape only to be informed by Richard he's injected her with a paralytic agent that will work its way through her system over the next 20 minutes rendering her completely immobile. Don't Move is the new Netflix thriller produced by Sam Raimi and directed by Adam Schindler and Brian Netto.

It follows Avery Graves as she is blackmailed by terrorists into betraying her own country to save her kidnapped husband. CIA agent Avery Graves (Kate Beckinsale) is blackmailed by terrorists when they kidnap her husband and threaten to kill him if she doesn't do what they ask of her. Avery has to steal the digital program Canary Black, but has to turn against her own agency to do so. This puts her in direct conflict with the terrorists and her own and other secret agent agencies. Canary Black is an action drama directed by Pierre Morel, director of Taken and Peppermint.

Tom Cruise is eyeing the possibility of doing a sequel to his 1990 NASCAR racing film Days of Thunder, according to media reports. The project is currently out to writers.

Demi Moore, whose performance in Coralie Fargeat’s The Substance as been praised as Oscar-worthy, will receive a career tribute at the French Cinematheque in Paris on Nov. 5, ahead of the movie’s local release.

HBO has greenlit the limited series Dtf St. Louis with David Harbour and Jason Bateman set for two of the lead roles, Variety has learned. HBO has given the series a seven-episode order. The show was originally announced as being in development back in 2022 with Harbour and Pedro Pascal attached to star and executive produce.

Amazon MGM Studios has landed American Speed, a package that will see Tom Holland and Austin Butler star as racecar driving brothers. Academy Award winning producer Charles Roven (Oppenheimer) is attached to produce via his Atlas Entertainment banner, alongside Rd Whittington and Douglas Banker. Atlas Entertainment’s Ryan Sanak will executive produce.
