Hitpig
Hitpig (Jason Sudeikis) is a pig hired by humans to bring back
their escaped animals. It's not easy, but it's a living. His latest hit is
Pickles, a naive but vivacious elephant who has escaped the clutches of an evil
Vegas showman. Though Hitpig initially sets out to capture the perky pachyderm
for big cash, the unlikely pair find themselves on an unexpected adventure criss
crossing the globe that brings out the best in both of them. Set in a futuristic
cyberpunk world, Hitpig proves sometimes what we want isn't what we need. From
Pulitzer Prize-winning author Berkeley Breathed's
wild imagination comes an adventure about learning that sometimes what we want
isn't what we need.

Woman Of The Hour (Netflix)
Woman of the Hour is based on the stranger than fiction
true story of Sheryl Bradshaw (Anna Kendrick)
and Rodney Alcala. Bradshaw was a bachelorette on the
hit '70s TV matchmaking show The Dating
Game and chose handsome and funny bachelor No. 3,
Rodney Alcala. But behind Alcala's charming facade was a
deadly secret: He was a psychopathic serial killer. If
you're like me, I didn't know anything about this story
at all going into the film, so it was a really
interesting watch. This is a solid movie that I would
recommend giving a watch once and I hope we see more of
Anna Kendrick directing in the future.

Matlock (Paramount+)
Follows Madeline Matlock (Kathy Bates) as
she rejoins the work force at a prestigious law firm,
where she uses her wily tactics to win cases and expose
wrongdoing. A gender flipping takeoff on the original
1986 TV series of the same name, Matlock (1986),
starring Andy Griffith in the title role
of criminal defense attorney Ben Matlock. This show only
has the most tangential relationship with the original
series. For legal reasons they had to give Dean
Hargrove a "based on the series Matlock" credit.
This is a charming and interesting take on a legal
series. Casting of Kathy Bates and Beau
Bridges is classic CBS, and while this
doesn't ask much of you, it's a fun and easy watch.
