Tunes - Various Artists
Composed of the immediate best of alternative/pop/rock, Linkin Park starts off
the disc with Somewhere I Belong, while Jane’s Addiction follows with Just
Because, the single from their latest release. There are some high points to the
album: Three Days Grace’s I Hate Everything About You is possibly the best song
from 2003. There are positive additions from Red Hot Chili Peppers with Dosed,
SUM 41 donates the Hell Song and Queens Of The Stone Age throw in Go With The
Flow. For those fans of Nickelback, there is Flat on the Floor and the fun of
modern punk is captured with Simple Plan’s song Addicted. Theory of a Dead Man
continues to produce good music, exemplified by Point to Prove and Gob shows up
with Give Up The Grudge. A fantastic way to boost your CD collection with some
current hits.

Underworld
For centuries,
two races have evolved hidden deeply within human culture: the aristocratic,
sophisticated Vampires, and the brutal, feral Lycans (werewolves). To humanity,
their existence is no more than a whisper of a myth. But to each other, they are
lifelong mortal rivals, sworn to wage a secret war until only one race is left
standing. In the midst of this ongoing struggle, a Vampire warrior, Selene (Kate
Beckinsale), discovers a secret that has terrifying repercussions for both
tribes a nefarious plan to awaken a new invincible species of predator that
combines the strengths of both creatures and the weaknesses of neither, which
threatens to tip the balance of power in favor of the werewolves, who have been
on the losing end of the struggle for centuries. Slick, fast-paced, stylish,
gothic thriller.
The Buzz...

drama starring Samuel L. Jackson.
Rush lead guitarist Alex Lifeson was arrested for assaulting sheriff's
deputies and spitting blood on one during a New Year's Eve brawl at the Ritz
Hotel in Naples, Florida. Deputies said they had to use a stun gun on the
musician who they described as displaying
drunken, violent behavior.
Jerry Seinfeld will do a pop-in on old pal
Larry David on an upcoming episode of
HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm. Apparently the cameo was
unplanned. Seinfeld simply showed up on the set one day
so producers put him in one of the scenes set in
Manhattan.

Jolie is funding a program that provides impoverished Cambodian farmers
with cows. The program is part of Jolie's conservation efforts in the country
where she is building a home for herself and her adopted Cambodian son, Maddox.
Screenwriter Robert Towne is tapped to write and direct a remake of Alfred
Hitchcock's classic spy film The 39 Steps.

album, with 6.5 million copies sold.
Britney Spears' two-day-old marriage to a childhood friend was
dissolved Monday shortly after the pop superstar filed for an annulment,
claiming she didn't fully understand what she was doing when she got hitched on
the spur of the moment.

The Producers grossed a record $1,600,243 for eight performances.
Platinum-selling R&B quartet B2K has split up. The teen heartthrobs

their movie debut in You Got Served, set for release on Jan. 30.
Director Clint Eastwood, whose latest movie, Mystic River, is a

was based on.
John Wells Productions has purchased the movie rights to Grendel from its
