At The Movies
Underworld
Underworld reimagines Vampires as a secretive clan of
modern, aristocratic sophisticates whose mortal
enemies are the Lycans (werewolves), a shrewd gang of
street thugs who prowl the citys underbelly. The
balance of power is upset when a beautiful young
Vampire and a nascent Lycan (deadly rivals for
centuries) fall in love. Len Wiseman directs Kate
Beckinsale and Scott Speedman in a fast-paced,
modern-day tale of deadly action, ruthless intrigue
and forbidden love, all set against the backdrop of an
ancient feud between the two tribes in a timeless,
Gothic metropolis.

Anger Management
After a misunderstanding aboard an airplane that
escalates out of control, mild-mannered Dave Buznik
(Adam Sandler) is remanded to attend anger management
sessions run by Dr. Buddy Rydell (Jack Nicholson).
Buddy's unorthodox approach to therapy is
confrontational and abrasive, and Dave is bewildered by
it. Then, after yet another mishap, the judge orders
Dave to step up his therapy or wind up in jail. So,
Buddy moves in with Dave to help him battle his inner
demons, but who here really needs the help? An
uproarious comedy with Sandler more restrained than
usual, content to let Nicholson bag most of the laughs.
