At The Movies
Honey
Honey Daniels (Jessica Alba, of Dark Angel) has been waiting all her life to
show the world her dance moves and now, everything she ever wanted is just a
step away. This film is for that 16 year old high-schooler, that wannabe dance
student, and the bubblegum chewing under-15 crowd and it’ll get them. It snaps,
crackles and pops along to a dynamic beat and its got heart, and to a dull-eyed
teenager sometimes that’s just what the doctor ordered. There won’t be any young
male companions complaining about the attractive lead star front, row, centre
either, Alba’s quite easy on the eye, and admittedly, a bit of a star in the
making.

Off The Record
Blink-182
- Blink-182
Punk rock is
not what it used to be. It was originally conceived to be a live fast, die young
genre that would make its mark, tear up the scene, and then go on its merry way.
Subsequent generations have made it friendly and more career-oriented. This
isn't a bad thing; it's even more enjoyable now. Feeling This or I Miss You both
pulsate with enough inner song to make nice radio trinkets. It's as if Blink 182
found love and realized that nothing else really mattered. How else can you
write a song such as I'm Lost Without You? It certainly carries a different
sentiment than Anarchy In The UK. Enjoyable fun, as is to be expected with any
Blink disc.
