Off The Record
Sheryl Crow - The Globe Sessions
Instead of keyboards, Crow
writes most of her songs on bass this time out. The result is her most
rhythmically assured music yet. But for all of its driving melody, there's
nothing simple or senselessly direct about Sessions. Her songwriting here
displays a dark, rich feel that should quiet her harshest critics. Not just
another pretty face, Crow can sing and play with the best of them, as evident in
her hot new release, My Perfect Mistake.
At The Movies
What Dreams May Come
Academy Award winning actor
Robin Williams changes gears once again to deliver a heartwarming tale about a
man who abandons his heavenly home to rescue his wife from the boiling pits of
hell, as he walks through a world created by her paintings. Creative, with fine
performances and brilliant, lush effects, this is one film that goes for the
heart, not the throat.

Deep Impact
The world is on the brink of
destruction as a comet heads for the Earth in this summer box office smash.
Great special effects highlight an intelligent story line that focuses in on an
ambitious journalist who unwittingly becomes the first to uncover the truth
about the impending doom. With the fate of the Earth in the balance, plans are
made to both establish shelters in which a few may survive and to destroy the
comet. Great pop-corn munching action.
