Off The Record...
Alice Cooper
Brutal Planet
More
than 30 years after first hitting the rock scene, Alice Cooper is back to
reclaim his thrown as the shock rock king. From the apocalyptic title track to
the punk-metal rocker Sanctuary to awesome power ballad Cold Machines, this is
the sound of Alice updating himself into the new millennium. For Alice Cooper
fans looking to see the snake-eyed horror-rock stalwart rejuvenated and
unleashed, this album does the trick.
At The Movies...
Space Cowboys
If
you're looking for a dose of realism in your sci-fi adventures, look no further
than Space Cowboys. The new film from director Clint Eastwood (who also stars)
isn't a futuristic space adventure, and the mission doesn't involve saving our
planet from mass alien destruction. Instead, the movie offers a realistic view
of NASA and its astronauts. Clint may not be the youngest buck around, but some
cowboys age like fine wine. These cowboys (including Tommy Lee Jones, James
Garner and Donald Sutherland) certainly do.
On Video...
The
Tigger Movie
This
first major big screen Winnie the Pooh feature is just tiggerific. Old-fashioned
animation comes to the fore
in this adventure that finds Tigger in search of his family tree. Naturally, it
takes a while for him to find out that he's the only tigger around, and that his
true family are the friends in the Hundred Acre Wood that love him. A wonderful
tale for kids and parents alike. Voices of Jim Cummings, Nikita Hopkins, Ken Sansom, John Fiedler, Peter Cullen
and Andre Stoja.
