Off The Record...
Big Shiny Tunes 5
Various Artists
The Big Shiny Tunes venture has been pretty successful these past few years,
showcasing the top songs that were on the MuchMusic countdown for weeks on end.
But there are a few new additions on here that are surprise. Disturbed's Stupify
marks one with some harder music represented by Nickleback, Deftones and
Limp Bizkit as others worth mentioning. It's a solid roster of hit songs from this
year that'll appease more of the Edgefest crowd than Britney Spears wannabes. A
must for the Christmas stocking of any music fan.

What Women Want
What do women want? Mel Gisbon stars as
a sexist executive who gets knocked unconscious while trying to stop a robbery.
When he wakes up, he finds that he's developed a strange ability to read the
minds of the women around him. And if you think this power isn't going to affect
a male chauvinist's actions, think again. He eventually starts trying to do what
women do as well, even going so far as to try on nylons and wax his legs. A
strong supporting cast gives this movie strength as well as hilarity.

White Christmas
Long before the movie, White Christmas was already the top-selling song of
all-time. When the legendary Michael Curtiz (Casablanca) took on the job of
directing the film inspired by the song, it seemed that this one could not fail.
This story of returning favours at Christmastime is another holiday season
staple that's likely as popular today as it was two or three decades ago. Big
screen, big names, big budget, big songs, this movie is a winner from the start.
A holiday classic, and deservedly so.
