Sleepy Hollow
Set in 1799, Ichabod Crane
(Johnny Depp), plays a New York City constable who is pioneering the science of
crime detection. He arrives in the village of Sleepy Hollow to investigate a
mysterious series of decapitations. Is the Headless Horseman a fake designed to
dispatch people standing in the way of an inheritance, and if not, what exactly
does the monster want? Tim Burton achieves the stylized atmosphere of a
black-and-white film with muted colours, so that every drop of blood stands out
in bold, gleaming relief.

Will Smith
Willenium
Willennium closes out the 20th
century with a varied party disc loaded with guest artists and featuring the
work of numerous producers. Most of these tracks can't miss, since they base
their grooves on great tunes. Will2K mines the Clash's Rock the Casbah, Da
Butta sets its raps to LTD's Back in Love Again, and the theme to Wild Wild West
pretty much wouldn't exist if not for Stevie Wonder's brilliantly groovin' I
Wish. Mr Smith still aims to promote a cleaner style, taking a crack at rappers
who can't write a verse without a curse. In the end, you’re bound to have fun
listening to this.

The Iron Giant
A magical film that delivers a touching story of
friendship. The Iron Giant focuses on a rambunctious child named Hogarth who
befriends a mechanical marvel. Set in 1957, when paranoia and the Soviet threat
were both at an all time high, Hogarth and the Giant must combine forces to
overcome the military that view him as a monster and a threat. Wonderful
animation that leaves the viewer with awe, and a compelling moral that teaches
us that humans can be the least humane of all. A timeless classic.
